KS99 and more Fafnir

Today the LS did KS99 The Early Bird Catches the Wyrm. Approximately 8 people got to use their orbs today and the rest are scheduled for tomorrow’s run. I ended up forgetting to screenshot my drops, but ended up with about 2.3 million in drops including an Unsho, dragon heart, and some weird axe that I keep forgetting the name of. No speed belts in this set of orbs (Ashy apparently won one last time they did KS99, lucky bastard!), but we have tomorrow to hope for some awesome drops.

Besides the KS99, we camped Fafnir and claimed it tonight. Some decent drops, no Ridill as people were hoping.

Not sure what I’m going to do with my drop money. I’m probably going to use it to uncurse my Zenith Pumps and repurchase some RDM gear. It’s so weird how 2 mil goes so much further in today’s economy.

Vrtra and Aspidechelone

Hey all, a while since my last update. Got bored, so I upgraded this LJ account to paid as well.

Ingame has been pretty slow lately. I haven’t been playing as much because of he end of my senior year in High School, graduation, etc. Now that all that’s over, I’m spending more time in XI leveling my bard. I’m level 64 currently, hoping for 75 by the time I go to college this fall.

LS has been camping Aspidechelone religiously for three months now. From this, we have got a number of Crimson, Dalmatica, and two Koenig. Congrats to everyone who received the gear and serious thanks to Keftenk for being a crazy bastard camping that thing every single day. ♥

ED has attempted Vrtra a few more times, all failures. After the discovery of desynthing that subligar to make the BRD JSE, there seems to be no real reason to go after Vrtra anymore since cashmere cloth is now easily accessable for the mere price of 8million gil and your soul if you full-break it.

Probably the best drop we got off Aspi so far. Double GOOD drops. Congrats to the two new owners of Dalmaticas. ^^

Dynamis Jeuno

Yeah. Anyway did Dynamis-Jeuno today. x2 NIN, DRK, THF dropped. ; ; No RDM sadly. Was a pretty smooth run.

Working on leveling my WHM now since I’m taking a break from BRD till a certain friend of mine gets back. Got to LV57 which wasn’t too bad, though I really hate pickup parties. ; ; I wish I could find a static, but so few people in the LS play at this time of night (JP time zone). Meh.

Hit 93.0 Alchemy a few days ago. Have to level on Papillion, which sucks since it’s like 40k a synth. -.- My first synth did go to good use though as you can see below. :3

We managed to claim Aspidochelone yesterday, which was pretty adrenaline rushing for me as this was the first time I’ve fought the HNM with the LS (Usually it’s always in NA primetime and I’m either asleep or at class). The drops were awful though, Shura Feet for what the LS says was the fourth time in a row. ; ; I was so praying for Dalmatica or Crimson (DROOL) or hell, even Koenig for our PLDs. But yes, turtle is a bastage. Arvin outpulled 2 other LSes out there for the turtle. Good job! ^^

Alchemy and NMs

Alchemy 72.5 right now. Those 10-12 stacks (Yes, STACKS) of venom potions got me less than 2 complete skill levels. :\ Wow, I was totally wrong in estimating how many of those it would take to get me to Alchem 76. After 76, I was planning on making those LV80 capping katana (I forget what they’re called, but they induce poison). However, since no one in the friggin’ world seems to sell venom potions (since they’re primarily only used by alchemists) that means I’m going to have to synthesize my own. I can’t find any alternatives at this point of what to skillup on. Ayn mentioned something about Animas instead, but I don’t have the Anima synthesis key item from the guild yet, so it’s not like I could do it even if I knew exactly what to skillup on. { Help me out! } What did you alchemists level up on? I love my friends. I was considering power crafting and I asked, “Should I power–” “YES!” Gotta love how they don’t even wait for me to finish my questions. ^^

So yeah, went to help camp Roc tonight. Spawned late, so we got delirious from boredom/sleep deprivation/lack of coffee and started to train ourselves and attempt MPK with each other with those retarded Hill Lizards. Late spawn, no drop, and I disconnected at Roc 5% HP. Not that that mattered, we were basically sleeping through the fight. So I have a very lamecore title “Roc Star” and 3000G. Didn’t want to go to Serket and Simurgh later, which kinda sucked since LS got Strider Boots and Serket Ring off those (>_<) but that’s ok. Went to the Temple of Pie instead for NM tonberry triggers. Didn’t get my katana. ; ; I’m so sad.

I’m thinking about leveling up a separate craft on a mule. I’m considering clothcraft or woodworking. Hmm. I’ll have to strongly consider it.
