So yes, completed Promyvion-Vahzl today with the group. I will admit it was pretty fun. Similar to the other Promyvions, yet a bit longer and harder. Each floor was a bit of a surprise since I didn’t know you had to re-fight each Promyvion boss to advance to the next floor. The final BC was a bit of a challenge. We decided to follow the tactics that involved SMN 2hrs and everyone busting out their 2hrs near the end of the third one’s live. Well, we wiped on the last mob at, I’d say, under 2% HP which was pathetic. Decided instead of waiting another 2hrs or another day that we’d just go right back into it. We won, easily.

On another note, finally got NIN to 37 to act as a fully-capable subjob! ^^ I really LOVE Utsusemi: Ni. It’s just that great. I will be leveling NIN up further in the future, but for now I am 100% happy with having it as a subjob. Muling all my gear was fun though… Ninja takes up so much gear.

Arrode from Fairy. Thought I’d throw this up here. I added my picture to the FFXI Players gallery. This picture was taken for Zephyrs, who refused to show me his picture without me whipping out my webcam today. ^^ I hope you’re happy.. you’ve broken my cover as being a man on FFXI. :O

Edit: Did Prom-Mea today. Won beautifully. :3 I love you guys that I went with. Shout outs to the wonderful Elenuial, Fentre, Dxero (weirdo), Filito, and Marcatil for being the super sports they were to go through it today. Lufaise Meadows is extremely beautiful. I absolutely adore it. Not sure about my thoughts on Tavnazia yet though. I thought it was kinda ugly, yet I didn’t have time to really explore since I went off into an EXP PT a short time later. More exploration tomorrow.

For Elen & Marcatil: Unedited Prom-Dem video since they wanted to see it. Anyone else can also download it freely if you are interested. And god, I want to kill myself, Elen, but the Prom-Mea video did NOT record. I had a MSN window popup during the middle of the battle which stopped Fraps from recording. ; ; { Please forgive me. } Shame I didn’t record Holla.


Updated my ffxi gallery with Tavnazia screenshots and such. Also, Gaikyuu, if you read this, I added a screenshot of Fuzy’s subligar since I knew you were interested. Hehe. I swear, Square is full of people with odd senses of humor.

Promyvion Fun

Blah, managed to actually complete Promyvion-Holla last night after a first failed attempt, two hours of anima farming, and another try complete with people going afk to eat, take showers, and me pulling a 30 minute run to go find my contacts.

But yes, it is done. The so-called hardest of the first three Promyvions was honestly not that bad if you prepare.

Before that deal I helped Fentre, Filito, and Dxero get their ZM4 done in the Temple of Pie after being directionally challenged the first hour or so and fighting the wrong mobs to get the lanterns. I ended up making two runs to light the doorway with Filito since we thought it was going to take too much effort and time to get 4 lanterns. The fight itself was easy, of course. I think either Kabooki or Filito (one of our taru blms, I forget which) got owned by Flare since we were being careless (and half of us drunk <_<), but yeah, ZM4 done for them.

Afterward, Dxero, Fentre, and myself gathered a few others and attempted Prom-Holla with a two-party alliance. Got there fine, but got owned near the end, which was pretty sad since the mob had less than 1% HP left and he kept spamming the crap out of his absorbing spell and we were out of animas to mess him up. At the time, I think our group consisted of MNK/NIN, WAR/NIN, PLD/WAR, SMN/WHM, WHM/BLM, RNG/NIN.

So yeah, we were pretty pissed over that, but we decided to give it another go with new members 2 hours later. We each farmed about two animas each, which REALLY helped. Went in with the following:

WAR/NIN, WAR/NIN, WHM/BLM, BLM/WHM, MNK/NIN, RNG/NIN and owned. We also were pretty darn prepared with medicines and foods, and timed our anima usage in 30 second intervals which basically paralyzed the mob the ENTIRE fight.

Was great. :) Hopefully Prom-Mea and Dem tonight. *glee*

A bit on the poor side today though. Gotta do some serious farming since the last Promyvion totally raped me of money. /sad
