Dynamis-Jeuno, Kirin, and NIN fun

Did my first Kirin run with the LS last Saturday morning. We did two Kirins, which was pretty fun. Getting to Kirin’s spawn room had to be the most annoying thing ever as the teleport pad kept sticking me in the magic pots room, so I wound up escaping myself about 5-6 times before I got into the right room. We had about two alliances set up for Kirin, one group being the kiters at the beginning waiting for Kirin to summon all the lesser gods and the 2nd alliance there to kill the lesser gods. Once that was done, parties reformed and we went after him. Killed both Kirins within an hour averaging about 20-25 mins. per Kirin. First drops were ok, second time we got the pole and the osode and RaiseIII (which no one needed). While I am slightly irritated with the handing out of the drops (namely the Kirin’s Pole since it’s kind of obvious that the monks should be the FIRST to get this item), I think it was overly fun.

This run was also the first time I ever got to fight Suzaku, which was pretty neat. I would like to fight Genbu again as I’d really like a Genbu’s shield in the future to get rid of my ugly darksteel buckler, but yeah, I’m in no extreme hurry.

Dynamis-Jeuno was the day afterward. Huge gathering, about 60+ people. Went very smoothly and was nice since it was the first Dynamis I have now cleared in record time. Duelist Tights dropped and my lot was beat only by 30 points, which made me sad, but hey, I wasn’t expecting to win something on my 3rd ever Dynamis. ^^;; Kind of disappointing, but not really. We owned Dynamis so badly that by the end, we had 30 mins left and no mobs left to pull.

Been leveling NIN lately. Got it to 20 last night. ^^ So much fun. It’s also pretty neat since I can synth +1 my own weapons and stuff, so it’s kind of spiffy seeing my entire equip window covered with +1 items. Planning on taking it to 37 ASAP and perhaps make it my next 75 job since I am completely lovin’ it.

Joyeuse obtained

Today was a very awesome FFXI day for me. Had lots of fun, honestly, and I thank Zephy for it. I logged in considering EXPing, but Zeph convinced me to go skill up sword, which I did in the manta NM room in Sea Serpent Grotto hoping for the Chary to pop. I spent some time (a few hours) killing mantas before, holy hell, it did spawn. I think I went ballistic waiting for LS and friends to get there so I could get my lovely sword, which I did. <3 The Joyeuse is So. Incredibly. Awesome. I think the double attack rate is about 65%-75%. It’s awesome. Thank you to all who came and thank you to Zenshin and Zephyrs for helping me wtfpwn the placeholders. ^_^

Did Genbu x3 with the LS for the first time tonight. I was amazed how easy he was… We had wayyy too many people, I’d say 6 could easily handle it. I kinda felt bad for Genbu, getting kited pointlessly around like that for the 10 mins or so it lived. ; ; Poor thing.

Did a few BCNM60’s with Londeyr and Mortallocke a few days back. Only one spectacle drop, which made me sad. I was unrealistic hoping for 6 drops so I could keep my own pair! Hehe, oh well. Someday I’ll be able to afford my own~.

Tu’Lia Fun

Finally I have obtained Tu’lia (sky) access. ^_^

ZM8 was interesting. It was the coolest of the fights and probably the hardest. We had 70PLD/WAR, 70WHM/BLM, 70BLM/WHM, 67RDM/WHM, 67DRG/WAR, 67MNK/WAR. One death (the monk) from getting hit with the guy’s crazy WS. WHM had to use 2hr which was covered by the PLD, so it was ok. Hate bounced around a TON and I was reminded of the anticans in Quicksands. Hehe. Regardless, we won.

ZM12 was way less difficult. Went with x2 PLDs, DRK, WHM, RDM, and THF. Pot went down rather quickly. Hardest part was us getting lost in Quicksands to get there. I swear, all the pits look the same. <_<;;;

So yeah, ran up to Sky later with my friends and we ran around. We even got dorky after finding hte ark angel battle rooms and ran in (me and a WHM) and tried to hit the Ark Angel and run. Was pretty funny. Later she told me she went in with a RNG and had the RNG 2hr the mob and run. XD;; We’re such dorks. I actually DID get mauled by the galka Ark Angel on accident. <_<;; I had to wait 30 minutes to get kicked from the arena so she could Raise3 me.

Farmed sky with LS last night. Got more items to pop Genbu for later. Got owned by Motherglobe, which was interesting. XD;;

Power leveling up RDM now. @15,000 to 68 at this point. I picked up another testimony yesterday, so I’ll be ready for Maat at 70. :3 I really want to get RDM to 70ish by Xmas. 75 by my one-year marker in FFXI. I’m actually thinking about taking BLM up as my 2nd job to 75 right now. Why? Well, I don’t know, honestly. The high damage is nice, they get nifty spells, and I really think most of my gear is BLM type stuff. NIN will be my later job, but I will take it to 75 one day.
